台灣中小企業從事的產業百百種,但可能許多行業,也不是一般大眾所熟悉的。有一家總部在北台灣,成立已有30年的中小企業,就滿特別,該企業以管理在台的外籍移工住宿生活為主業(其移工以企業廠工為主),歷年來,卓越成就屢屢受到各級政府機關的肯定與矚目。

創辦人多年來,秉持著兢兢業業的態度經營事業。不僅遵循國際勞工友善對待法規,並不斷優化精進以適應時局的進化,更將「以家人之心對待」、「尊重包容多元族群文化」以及「打造快樂居住環境」的精神和文化,融入了企業的日常經營和管理之中。

該企業目前在全台灣,每天總共管理約2萬名外籍移工,這家企業不僅實現了商業上的成功,更在企業文化和社會責任方面做出了令人肯定的貢獻。協助解決台灣長期少子化及企業工廠缺工的問題,讓企業生產得以運轉順暢,從而維持了台灣企業在國際市場上的競爭力。

身為長期從事外籍移工管理的企業,這家公司深知管理這些離鄉背井、年輕外籍移工的重要性。生產力優勢是台灣製造業看上外籍移工的重點,但是源自不同文化背景、年紀輕輕來到台灣異地,生活的文化、語言、宗教、習慣、環境與心理的適應和調整,更是關懷外籍移工的重點。

不僅為這些外籍移工提供良好安全的住宿環境,更致力於打造一個融和多國多元文化的友善尊重環境。平時即透過舉辦各種文化交流活動、提供語言學習課程、相關心理衛教以及舉行多元化的娛樂活動、也鼓勵移工自願性參與台灣社區的公益活動;這家企業成功地促進了不同背景的人們之間的交流和融和,營造出一個外籍移工快樂居住的園地。

然而,這家企業的獨特之處不僅僅體現在其對外籍移工,提供超越合規要求的良好住宿硬體設備,他們的企業文化更加強調對「企業永續發展目標」(SDGs)和「多元性、包容性、公平性」(DEI)的承諾。這意味著他們在經營企業的同時,也關注著社會和環境的永續性。通過將這些價值融入到他們的日常運營中,他們不僅在商業領域取得成功,更在社會上樹立了一個正面的典範。

Thirty Years of Diversity and Harmony: Creating a Livable and Happy Haven for Foreign Migrant Workers

Taiwan's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) engage in a myriad of industries, many of which might not be familiar to the general public. One such SME, headquartered in northern Taiwan and with a 30-year history, stands out for its unique focus on managing the accommodation and lives of foreign migrant workers in Taiwan, primarily within corporate factory settings. Over the years, its outstanding achievements have earned recognition and attention from various government agencies.

The founder, throughout these years, has operated the business with diligence and dedication. They not only adhere to international regulations on treating labor migrants fairly but continuously refine and adapt to evolving circumstances. They have incorporated the principles and culture of "treating them like family," "respecting and embracing diverse cultural backgrounds," and "creating a joyful living environment" into the daily operations and management of the company.

Currently, this enterprise manages approximately 20,000 foreign migrant workers across Taiwan daily. It has not only achieved commercial success but also made commendable contributions to corporate culture and social responsibility. By helping address Taiwan's long-standing issues of low birth rates and labor shortages in factories, they have ensured the smooth operation of businesses, thereby maintaining Taiwan's competitiveness in international markets.

As a company with extensive experience in managing foreign migrant workers, they understand the importance of caring for these young workers who have left their homes to work in Taiwan. While productivity is a key advantage for Taiwan's manufacturing sector in employing foreign migrant workers, the focus remains on their adaptation and adjustment to cultural, linguistic, religious, habitual, environmental, and psychological aspects of life in a foreign land with diverse backgrounds.

They not only provide a safe and secure living environment but also strive to create a friendly and respectful atmosphere that blends multiple cultures. They regularly organize cultural exchange activities, offer language learning courses, provide relevant psychological education, host diverse entertainment events, and encourage migrant workers to voluntarily participate in community service activities in Taiwan. This enterprise has successfully facilitated interaction and integration among people from different backgrounds, creating a happy living environment for foreign migrant workers.

However, the uniqueness of this enterprise extends beyond providing superior accommodation facilities beyond regulatory requirements. Their corporate culture places a strong emphasis on commitments to "Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)" and "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)." This means that while operating their business, they also focus on the sustainability of society and the environment.
